Analog Devices has just had the best quarter in its sixty-one-year history: $4,021.9 million of revenue in the three months to 1 August 2026, up 39.6%, with all four of its end markets growing and Communications up 84%. It has also committed $48.96 billion to five acquisitions since 2014, and 98.2% of the part with a filed purchase price allocation was booked as goodwill and acquired intangible assets. At 1 August 2026 those two lines were 73.2% of everything the company owns and 105.7% of its shareholders’ equity, which makes tangible book value negative $1,906.1 million. Both facts come from the same filings, and this initiation sets out what the second does to every number the first is reported in.
