American Electric Power Initiation 2026

Company Analysis

American Electric Power tells investors it has 69 GW of new load contracted for 2030; its $78 billion capital plan was built on 28 GW. About 70% of the headline rests on letters of agreement that oblige no customer to take or pay, the figure doubled in one quarter when Texas letters began to count, and it appears in no 10-K or 10-Q. It is the first of a dozen places where AEP’s own documents carry a smaller twin of every headline it publishes.
